This reminds me of NaNoWriMo...
I might just have to attempt this!
I wish they had a group on LJ.

I think a magnetic poem a day would count!
Just post them!

Announcement:
I need your help!

Anybody want a part in bringing a poetry group back to life? I'm one of the managers of a msn group that's been around for three or four years now, has almost always been very small, and now has dwendled to mere existence. Anyone interested in some rebirthing, hit me up...or just check out the group:

MSN GROUP!

Gracias!

First post here.
It's very much a work-in-progress, though, as I've literally only just typed it! Any feedback, glad of it.
It's about a good friend of mine.

MINDCURVE (1st draft)

A reasonable man always has his reasons,
That stands to
Reason?
And logic dictates,
You say
(whilst dictating)
Encrusted wisdom pearls,
before the swines who barely know you.

Helpless when you laugh,
helpful when you frown,
Dashing for the purpose
to the other side of town
(you really should slow down
and catch your breath)
but you never do,
Do you?

I see myself in distance,
From, above, beyond,
Marked against resistance
to charming vagabonds
(like you
but not you),
and count myself included
in the very happy few.

A.M. 2006.

Hi. I'm new here.
This is one that I've had on my fridge for the past few weeks:

please recall this smooth time

you & I whispering
of the fictional being
sweetly turning frantic summers
to cool discovering shadows

between still & story
her imagined language
felt strange and enormous
the author of a thousand librarys

wisdom
science
desire
soul

each tome answering
ancient questions

who would read those books
and judge them empty lies

life & lust & love
chant elaborate music
your voice singing
urging me

Magnetic poetry of late...
More rambling than anything... Nothing of real consequence... Or *is* it?

I beseech thee to love more than me

methinks he doth deceive too much

friend and lover ado about

myself a woman of grace am

a damn well wicked

idle shall thine be

Who knows? Could have some hidden meaning. But I wanted to record it before I knock them all off in pursuit of something else...

photo project
calling all artists:

i'm looking for photographers to do a series for a project i'm trying to head. I purchased magneticpoetry.org and i want to do a series of photos on the importance of words. I think the best way to do this is through magnetic poetry, like a good example of this would be to photograph the word "family" with a happy family in the background or something. just make the words relevant to the subject in the photo...and the magnetic poetry words must be shown in the photo somewhere. it can be a single word, or a sentence.

let me know if you're interested. full credit will be given for all photos, and please include a high res photo of your shot in submissions.

M.P. #1

I trudge through the forest of life
the winds are blowing
& the roads go on and on

M.P. #2

void
I am falling
and he does not see
I cry
he crushes
it never will be

M.P. #3

do not smell but eat enormous sausages & fluffy eggs.

Using the 2004 Calendar
(Again. butterflydrming, under a different log-in.)

I know the weather in me

wait

raining storm clouds

change to a blue sky day

and this creeping night

after it swallows the sun

will be full of moonlight

2004 Calendar words
take all the light
give me to darkest shadow
I am like an icey rain
which falls
on a winter morning
when the air is murmuring
that spring will never come
